Hi, my name is Ruth. I’m 40 years old and live in Maryland. I’m originally from Western NY but after joining the Air Force, left and settled in MD after my enlistment. I am married to my super funny husband, Freddy and have a step daughter named Brooke. She’s in college now so it’s Freddy and I in the house, living our best life.
I am a government employee, working as a manager of a cybersecurity organization. Most of my career was spent as a program manager, overseeing various technology services. I just started a new position in cyber which is fun AND scary!
I often played on my name throughout my life, leveraging Ruthless as a title for various endeavors I was getting myself into. So when I started thinking of a blog name Ruthless came to my mind immediately. I want this blog to be empowering – for me to get out of my comfort zone and share my life, stories and adventures and for you, as you get to know me, and we can hopefully share some laughs and touch your lives in someway. I know I look for inspiration in others’ writing and creations so I hope I can do the same for others.
One twist to this blog – I’m joined by my true life partner, my cousin Mary. People call us twins or sisters because she has the good fortune of looking VERY much like me. We have been ride or die for each other basically our whole lives and so it made sense to ask her to be a part of this with me. We are very similar but VERY different so she’ll be bringing a unique flavor to the blog giving anecdotes on being a 3rd grade teacher, as well as mother of 2 and wife to a true outdoorsman.
